A little about Chef Ashley
Ashley’s cooking style is influenced by her years of living on the island of Oahu, world travel, and healing her own ailments through the power of food and intention.
Ashley’s philosophy is rooted in biodiversity; the understanding that each body has unique needs and must follow a personal path to optimal health. If happiness starts in the body, then food must be the key. Whether it’s in the form of food, love, or experiences, the choice of what we use to fuel ourselves with will affect who we are and how we grow into our healthiest and truest selves.
She developed acne is her early-mid 20’s. It wasn’t until she learned the intersection between food and health that she was able to treat her ailments. After watching this real life example of food as medicine, Ashley began immersing herself further in the study of food and healing traditions. She started training under well-recognized, NYC-based school, Natural Gourmet Institute for health-supportive cooking. She spent time working on a farm in upstate New York collaborating with chefs, dietitians, and farmers using food as medicine to aid children on the Autism-spectrum.
Her hunger for knowledge and adventure has led her to enriching experiences, taking her around the globe and back, always exploring cultural traditions to discover new ingredients, health benefits, recipes, and culinary practices.
